We all know that Franchy Cordero is big and strong. He showed us all a feat of strength tonight against the Diamondbacks:
Franchy Cordero tried to hit this one into oblivion. 489 feet later, he pretty much did. pic.twitter.com/WGthlTgBgU— MLB (@MLB) April 21, 2018
Boy, that is some kind of nice. As you can see toward the end of the clip, the ball hit roughly level with the top row of the box score on the scoreboard. Statcast estimated its trajectory at 489 feet, which is the third longest homer in Chase Field history, the longest ever by a visiting player, and the longest by any player, anywhere in the 2018 season. Mike Stanton who? Aaron Judge what? Psssh, whatever, we have Franchy Cordero.
