The start of this weekend’s series is a bit unique, considering the Braves and Padres have some unfinished business.

The last time these two teams played, rain ended their series in Atlanta, resulting in a suspended game set to be made up this evening.

The Padres lead 5-4 in the bottom of the 5th inning of a 7-inning game that’s set to start at 5:10 p.m. PST. The Padres will be the visiting team despite playing at the friendly confines of Petco Park.

Then, the two teams kick off a three-game set in San Diego. The Braves hold just a two-game lead over the Phillies, so while the Padres probably won’t make the playoffs, they can still affect and spoil the playoff race in their own way.
