Randy Ready and John Kruk hit back-to-back homers in the top of the 13th to power the Padres to a 6–4 win over the Reds in Cincinnati. Ready enjoyed a 13-year career and spent parts of four seasons with the Padres, while Kruk would go on to become an All-Star in Philadelphia following his Padres’ stint.
