Catcher Ben Davis was 4-for-4 with a solo homer as the Padres defeat the Braves 4–1 at Qualcomm Stadium. Davis would spend parts of four seasons in San Diego, with his most successful coming in 2001. He would go on to play with the Seattle Mariners after the 2001 season and left the team in 2004 before finishing his career with the Chicago White Sox.
