The Padres need a series to get them out of the slump it has been in, and there might not be a more perfect candidate than the Angels.
The Angels just lost a series against the Baltimore Orioles, who snapped a 19-game losing streak against them.
The team also has the extremely rare Sunday off day, which makes this just a two-game set. If the Padres can steal a pair of wins in Anaheim this weekend, it could put them back on track and then the team can go back to the ballpark Monday ready for a three-game set with Arizona.
Each day that passes by is one day closer to the playoffs, which the Padres are currently two games out of. This makes every game from now until the end of the season that much more important.
