After last night's unsettling 12-3 defeat to the Diamondbacks, we're all hoping Blake Snell (6-4, 4.86) can help right the ship. He'll be facing the "Mad Bum," Madison Bumgarner (6-7, 4.42), who we handed the loss on August 8th.
With last nights loss, our Padres fell to a still respectable 66-51, 9 games behind the division leading Giants, and 4 behind the second place Dodgers. In the race for the final Wild Card playoff spot, the Padres hold a tenuous 3.5 game lead over the Cincinnati Reds
At this writing, there is still no further word on Yu Darvish, after he was forced to leave last nights game in the third inning with what's being described as "lower back tightness."
