El Flaco worked a little over five innings and finished with six strikeouts and four runs allowed. He was pulled in the sixth after allowing three straight hits which led to a pair of runs off a Rizzo double.
The Padres offense was held to just three hits and they didn’t score their lone run of the game until the bottom of the ninth when Ha-Seong Kim doubled into left field to score Tommy Pham.
