The Padres (17-14) and Pirates (13-16) come into tonight with the series tied at 1-1. After another snooze fest on offense, the Friars need someone to come through with some consistency.
Yu Darvish (3-1, 2.13 ERA) will be facing off against JT Brubaker (2-2, 2.63 ERA).
Coming into tonight, the Padres and Dodgers have the same record and remain 1.5 games behind the Giants for the division lead.

Tonight’s lineup gets a bit of a shakeup. Tommy Pham is starting the night off with Jake Cronenworth and Fernando Tatis Jr. following and Eric Hosmer batting cleanup. Manny Machado is getting the night off and Ha-Seong Kim is his replacement at third. And as always, Victor Caratini will be catching for Darvish.
