The Padres (30-18) nine-game win streak came to an end against the Brewers (24-23) yesterday evening against the Brewers strong bullpen. Brian Woodruff was a pain through the first seven innings of game one but the underwhelming performance by Blake Snell also didn’t help the team, either.
Tonight pitching matchup will feature Joe Musgrove (4-4, 2.47 ERA) and Corbin Burnes (2-3, 1.79 ERA). During the last series between these teams, Musgrove struck out a season-hgih 13 batters in a 3-1 loss.

Despite finally having a slow day with this lineup configuration, Jayce Tingler is going right back to it this evening. Manny Machado remains sidelined with shoulder tightness so Ha-Seong Kim gets another start at third. Victor Caratini will catch for Musgrove.
Enjoy the game! go Padres!
