Ahead of tonight’s game, the Padres are placing Fernando Tatis Jr., Jurickson Profar, and Jorge Mateo on the injured list due to Tatis testing positive for COVID-19. Profar and Mateo are in contract tracing so they will unfortunately be sidelined, as well.
In corresponding roster moves, the team is recalling Tucupita Marcano and Nabil Crismatt from Triple-A El Paso, along with outfielder John Andreoli.

Despite all of the rough news to begin the day, Dinelson Lamet is still taking the mound against the Rockies and that’s enough good to get me through the night.

With a trio of Padres out for the time being, the lineup gets a bit of a shake up. Trent Grisham is back in the leadoff spot with Jake Cronenworth batting second. Manny Machado remains in third with Eric Hosmer batting cleanup. Tommy Pham takes over left field for Profar and Ha-Seong Kim is at shortstop for Tatis. Austin Nola will be catching for Lamet.
Enjoy the game! Go Padres!
