Padres @ Texans 4/9/21 Live Game Chat

Alright, Padres fans. Tonight is the night. We’re rolling out the EXPERIMENTAL live chat function for game one of San Diego’s three-game series with the Rangers.

If any of you have ever been a part of a livestream before, such as YouTube Live and Twitch.tv, then you understand what we’re aiming for here: a much more fluid experience when discussing the game while it’s happening in real time. We understand that commenting in a thread can slow down the conversation and sometimes kill the vibe before it starts.

With this feature, we hope to enhance game days going forward while continuing to push the limits of what we can do in the future.

We’re trying something NEW here for the Game Day Thread. Keep that in mind. If you’re logged in to comment, you should be ready to go, though you may be prompted to verify your email address. If you’re not logged in, you can do so the same way you always have. (There’s a button below, too)
