We’re on the the Giants after the Padres took care of the Diamondbacks 3-1 in their first four-game series of the 2021 season. San Diego’s newest pitchers all showed out and helped the team start the year with a trio of wins in spite of slow starts by both Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado.
Eris Hosmer is currently leading the team with seven total hits and a pair of home runs while Jake Cronenworth and Wil Myers are tied for second with four hits, apiece. Jurickson Profar is currently second on the team with a .429 average, behind only Hosmer who is hitting .667 early on.
Adrian Morejon is making his first start of the year tonight against 30-year old Anthony DeScalfani.

Jake Cronenworth gets the nod in the one spot tonight ahead of Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado with Eric Hosmer batting cleanup. It's back to Victor Caratini behind the plate.
Let's kick this thing off right. Go Padres!
