Padres Game Thread 4/25/21: Padres @ Dodgers

Go for the win tonight.

MLB: San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers Jayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY Sports

The Padres came oh-so close to stealing a fourth-straight win against the Dodgers and the third victory of this current four-game road stand. Fernando Tatis Jr. homered twice for the second game in a row but it inevitably wasn’t enough as Los Angeles kept the Friars from clinching the series victory on Saturday night.

Joe Musgrove (2-2, 1.04 ERA) and his hometown heroics are taking the mound tonight against 23-year old righty Dustin May (1-1, 2.93 ERA). It would be quite the site to see the Padres get the series victory behind the arm of Musgrove, but the Dodgers still remain the Dodgers, no matter what’s happen in recent days.

Starting Lineup

The lineup for tonight remains fairly unchanged from the previous three games. The top of the lineup remains strong with Fernando Tatis Jr. leading off with Trent Grisham and Manny Machado following him up. Wil Myers is getting the night off with Jurickson Profar taking over right field and Tommy Pham returning in left.

Enjoy the game! Go Padres!
