Padres Game Thread 4/23/21: Padres @ Dodgers

Let’s do it again!

MLB: San Diego Padres at Los Angeles Dodgers Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

After a narrow victory over the Dodgers on Thursday night, the Padres and their fans are ready to do it again. Yu Darvish is back on the mound and looking for a repeat performance of the last time he took the mound in the second contest of their first series against L.A. In that game, Darvish K’d nine and allowed just one hit while Clayton Kershaw struck out eight.

That game ended in a 2-0 decision for the Dodgers, but it showed that the best the Friars have to offer can hang with the best of L.A.

Starting Lineup

The top-six of tonight’s lineup remains the same from yesterday’s with Fernando Tatis Jr., Trent Grisham, and Manny Machado leading things off. Jurickson Profar and Luis Campusano are being traded out for Tommy Pham and Victor Caratini. After a win over the Dodgers, Jayce Tingler does not want to mess with something that seemed to work.

Enjoy the game! Go Padres!
