Good evening Padres fans! Welcome to game one of a three-game home series against the Brewers (8-7) who are coming off a series win against the Cubs in Milwaukee.
Joe Musgrove (2-1, 0.47 ERA) will be on the mound tonight to face Brandon Woodruff (0-0, 2.12 ERA). Through his first three starts, Musgrove has struck out 24 batters while allowing seven hits in 19 innings of work.
The Friar bats saw some new life in game three against the Dodgers and it’d be nice to see the guys string some of those performances together on a more consistent basis. Regression to the mean tells us that there are much better offensive performances coming in the near future, so let’s hope that logic holds true.

The top of the lineup sees a small shakeup with Jurickson Profar kicking things off. Jake Cronenworth is in second while Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado will bat third and fourth, respectively. Trent Grisham is getting the day which moves Tommy Pham to center and Profar to left field.
Enjoy the game! Go Padres!
