Happy Sunday, Friar Faithful.
Blake Snell is on the mound tonight for the first time since being pulled in the opening inning of last Tuesday’s outing against the Pirates. The hope is that there’s zero visible residuals from that incident. That apparent lack of trust from Jayce Tingler towards Snell wasn’t likely shrugged off from the first-year Friar, especially when you recall how he exited his time with the Rays.
Snell will be facing off against first-year Dodger Trevor Bauer (2-0, 2.70 ERA). Bauer comes into tonight with 29 total strikeouts, tied for fifth-most in the NFL.

Wil Myers is taking the day off so Jurickson Profar will get the start in right field. Other than that, everyone else is in their usual places. Jake Cronenworth is being bumped back to batting second which pushes Fernando Tatis Jr. down to third and Manny Machado to fourth.
Enjoy the game! Go Padres!
