Both the Padres and Dodgers are likely thoroughly exhausted after last night’s marathon that lasted just over the midnight hour. A total of 17 different pitchers were used by both teams with 10 coming from the San Diego side (does Jake Cronenworth count?).
Tonight’s pitching matchup is one you are definitely not going to want to miss. It’s Clayton Kershaw (2-1, 2.89 ERA) versus Yu Darvish (1-0, 3.06 ERA) going at it in game two of this three-game series in Petco Park.
Coming into tonight, Eric Hosmer still leads the Padres in each notable hitting category with three home runs (tied with Wil Myers and Trent Grisham), a .339 batting average, and 12 RBIs. Justin Turner leads the Dodgers in all three, as well, with four home runs, a .440 average, and 15 RBIs.

Tonight’s lineup is back to looking what I’d consider “normal” for the Friars. Your top-three once again will be Grisham, Fernando Tatis Jr., and Manny Machado with Myers in cleanup. Jurickson Profar is starting at first in place of Hosmer while Victor Caratini is behind the plate for Darvish.
Enjoy the game! Go Padres!
