Darvish finished his third start of the year with six strikeouts, allowing just one run and walking one. Austin Adams followed him with a pair of K’s and Keone Kela closed out the final inning with a lone strikeout.
Jake Cronenworth recorded another two hits against Pittsburgh, upping his season total to a team-leading 15 hits through 11 games. Despite those numbers, he’s recorded just one RBI on the year, however. After his three hits yesterday, Myers is closing in on Crone with 14 hits while leading the team with 11 RBIs, which are good for fourth in the majors.
Victor Caratini also drove in one run to up his RBI total to eight on the year. He’s been a quiet, yet impactful, contributor in his first season with the Padres.
