Happy Sunday, Padres Fans!
The Friars followed up the franchise’s first no-hitter with another victory over the Rangers with 7-4 victory on Saturday afternoon. San Diego recorded a trio of home runs, led by Eric Hosmer’s third of the season and Ha-Seong Kim’s first major league homer that helped tie the game up in the fifth inning. Trent Grisham also went yard in his second game of the season since returning from the IL.

Chris Paddack started on the mound but struggled in allowing three runs while striking out just as many in four innings of work. Ryan Weathers followed him, also striking out three and allowing a run across a pair of innings. Drew Pomeranz K’d three, as well, later in the eighth.
Jake Cronenworth finished three-of-four on the night, raising his hit total to 12 through the team’s first nine games of the young season.

Today’s lineup doesn’t see much change from Saturday’s. It’s been working, so let’s keep this train rollin’.
Enjoy the game! Go Padres!
Side Note: Thank you all who participated in the live chat experiment on Friday night! More faces seemed to pop during the latter parts of the game, which was awesome to see. I know change isn’t always welcomed, but do let me know what you did and did not like about that format. What was easier/smoother? What, if anything, made the experience not as good as the usual game thread? I appreciate all your feedback!
