Dinelson Lamet started Monday’s game and went a little over an inning, allowing one run and leaving without recording a strikeout. Drew Pomeranz led the team with three strikeouts in his lone inning of work while Chase Johnson and Jordan Guerrero each recorded a pair of K’s. Chris Paddack struggled through his 2 1⁄3 innings, allowing eight of the Rockies 10 runs on the day while striking out just one and walking three others.
Fernando Tatis Jr. and fellow shortstop Pedro Florimon each accounted for one of the Padres’ two RBIs, with Florimon recording a solo home run in the bottom of the fifth.
Some news that’s being reported as I’m typing this up: With Austin Nola headed to short-term IL, Luis Campusano has been told he’s made the Opening Day roster. As for some news from earlier today, Trent Grisham will also join Nola on IL to begin the season as he continues to come back from a back injury. 21-year old Ryan Weathers has also made the team.
Jayce Tingler confirms some things we pretty much knew:

Ryan Weathers is on the team.
Austin Nola and Trent Grisham will not be on the opening day roster as they work back from injury.
Opening Day as Petco Park can’t get here soon enough, and luckily it’s just a few days away on April 1 when the Padres begin the year with a four-game home stand against the Diamondbacks.
Hope you guys enjoyed spring training this year! It’s time for the real thing!
GO PADRES, BABY!
