The Padres have been known for a few different things over the past 365 days. First off, they’re known for having some really talented prospects. Secondly, they’re also known for hitting a lot of grand slams.
Well, Friar faithful got a bit of both as CJ Abrams smashed a grand slam in the top of the seventh innings to rub salt in the Brewers’ wound as they trounced Milwaukee 13-3 in a spring exhibition on Monday afternoon.

Abrams finished the day just one-of-three at the plate but tied for the team lead in RBIs at four with Brian O’Grady. O’Grady homered twice, the first being a three-run shot in the fifth and his second a solo homer just two innings later.
Blake Snell got the start on the day, pitching three innings and finishing with a pair of strikeouts. Emilio Pagan and Aaron Northcraft also posted two Ks, apiece.
The Padres (6-8) face the Whote Sox (3-8) tomorrow at 1:10 p.m.
