To echo the team’s official tweet below: yes, it’s time to mark your calendars as the Padres have announced their full schedule for the upcoming 2021 MLB season.
San Diego will open up their season with a home series against both the D-Backs and the Giants, splitting the seven-game opening stretch at four and three. Their home-opener is set for 1:10pm on April 1. The first time the Padres hit the road will be on April 9 when they take on the Rangers in a three-game trip to Texas.
The first series against the Dodgers will be a four-game stint in Los Angeles from April 22-25. The first time their divisional rival visits Petco Park won’t be until June 21, almost three months into the regular season.
The 91st MLB All-Star Game, hosted at Truist Park in Atlanta, is currently scheduled on July 13.
The longest trip away from home won’t come until September when the Padres will be on the road from the 9th until the 20th. On the flip-side, the team’s longest stint at home (11 days) will come from June 11-27.
The regular season finale for the Friars will be against the Giants on October 3.
Time to update your calendars!
