Maybin has played for 10 teams in his 15-year MLB career, but his longest tenure with a team came from 2011-14 when he played for the Padres in sunny San Diego. In 2011, Maybin became the ninth player in franchise history to steal 40 bases in a season. Maybin signed a five-year contract worth $25 million in 2012, but would be traded ahead of the 2015 season to the Atlanta Braves in the now-infamous trade that allowed the Padres to acquire B.J. Upton and Craig Kimbrel.
