Dinelson Lamet has been the Padres’ best pitcher through the entire 2020 season. He’s among the best at a number of pitching categories, including ERA (5th), total strikeouts (8th), and WHIP (4th).

In a year when a lot of eyes were on Chris Paddack, Lamet has kept his head down and just got the job done on a nightly basis. Overall, he’s 3-1 on the season and he’s scheduled to start the back half of Friday’s double-header against the Giants.

Through 11 games, Lamet has pitched 65.1 innings, allowing 38 hits, 16 runs, five home runs, with 19 walks. Opposing batters are hitting just .116 against him this year, as well.
