Time to take it to the Dodgers.

MLB: Game Two-San Francisco Giants at San Diego Padres Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

The Padres (31-17) continue to ride their hot streak into a huge three-game series against the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers (33-14). San Diego comes into this one winners of seven in a row while the Dodgers have lost four of their last seven contests.

San Diego is just 2.5 games behind the Dodgers, which is the closest they’ve been since the start of the season. The Friars also still lead the majors in runs scored with 270 and sit third with a +76 run differential.

It’s going to be “best against best” tonight as Dinelson Lamet (2-1) will be on the mound to kick off the series against the Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw (5-1).

Enjoy the game and Go Padres!

Starting Lineup

The Padres are bumping Fernando Tatis Jr. and Manny Machado back to the #1 and #2 spots with catcher Austin Nola batting third and Wil Myers backing cleanup. Rookie Jorge Ona is the team’s DH this evening and Jorge Mateo gets the start at second while Jake Cronenworth takes over first.
