MLB: San Diego Padres at Colorado Rockies Isaiah J. Downing-USA TODAY Sports

The Padres welcome the division rival Dodgers to Petco Park tonight for their first contest of their three-game series. The Dodgers (7-3) are currently in second place in the NL West behind the first place Rockies while the Padres are in third with a 6-4 record. San Diego has scored 59 runs this season, the most in the MLB. However, they’ve allowed 48 runs in return. The Dodgers have scored a close 54 runs, but have only allowed half the number of runs as the Padres with 24.

Chris Paddack is back on the mound today with a (1-0) record in two starts. Through 11 innings pitched, he’s allowed 10 hits, two runs, and one homer while striking out 10. He faces off against righty Walker Buehler who comes into tonight having pitched just 3.2 innings, allowing three hits, two runs, a home run, with three strikeouts.

News Update:

Starting Lineup:

Your top four spots on the night remain consistent with yesterdays game but IF Jake Cronenworth got boosted up from ninth to fifth while stepping in again for Eric Hosmer at first. After Wil Myers at #6, Abraham Almonte will make his 2020 Padres debut as their DH with Austin Hedges and Jurickson Profar finishing up the order.

Let’s get that momentum back tonight. Go Padres!
