Game Thread: 8/25 Mariners @ Padres

Time to get back in the saddle.

MLB: Texas Rangers at San Diego Padres Orlando Ramirez-USA TODAY Sports

Now that the Padres (18-12) messed with Texas - and came away uber-victorious - it’s time to point our focus to the north and get ready for the Mariners (11-19). The Friars are coming off some much-needed rest and relaxation, on top of riding a seven-game winning streak.

Chris Paddack (2-2) is on the mound tonight and he’ll be looking to earn back some of the trust from his teammates. Of the team’s four starting pitchers, he’s the only one to have allowed more than three home runs. He’s currently at eight, which is far, far some acceptable from a player viewed as the team’s best pitcher coming into the season.

He’ll face left-handed Marco Gonzalez (2-2) who comes into tonight with a 3.34 ERA and 26 strikeouts on the year.

Starting Lineup

San Diego is coming out strong in game one with this lineup. You got all the names you want to see within the first five spots. Jake Cronenworth is slotted in at #7 with Jurickson Profar at #8 to help keep any possible momentum going through the second half of the lineup. Ty France is your DH for the evening.
