It’s a new series for the Padres (15-12) who are back in Petco Park tonight to begin a three-game series with the Houston Astros (15-10).
Best-case scenario: San Diego hits their fifth-consecutive grand slam while increasing their MLB record by one more contest and walk away with a victory.
Worst-case scenario: The bullpen crashes and burns and gives up a 5-run lead through the final three innings.
Is regression on its’ way? I surely hope not. At least, let’s stave it off a little longer.
Garrett Richards (1-1) and Lance McCullers Jr. (2-1) are battling it out tonight for their teams.

The top half of the lineup looks a little different with Eric Hosmer and Manny Machado swapping place from yesterday’s game. Same goes for Wil Myers and Jake Cronenworth. Grag Garcia is back in the lineup at #7 with Jurickson Profar and Austin Hedges rounding things out.
