Game Thread: 8/18 Padres @ Rangers

Let’s start stacking some wins.

MLB: San Diego Padres at Texas Rangers Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

Man, last night’s game was exactly what the doctor ordered after that rough five-game stretch. After being on the wrong side of five-straight, Fernando Tatis Jr. put an emphatic stamp on their victory with his first career grand slam.

Unwritten rules be damned. It was awesome.

The Padres called up lefty Adrian Morejon today and he’s set to get the start for the Friars. The Rangers will trot out Mike Minor (0-1) for his fifth start of the season.

News Update:

Starting Lineup:

The top five of the lineup tonight remain the same as yesterday evening. Wil Myers is back back in right field, taking the place of Josh Naylor. He’ll bat sixth. Jake Cronenworth is in at seventh while newly brought-up catcher Luis Torrens gets his first start of the 2020 season.
