The 2020 MLB season has yet to begin and the MLB has already released every team’s schedule for next year. Every team will play their opening game on April 1, so here’s to hoping that we all won’t get treated to a ruthless April Fool’s joke.
The Padres are scheduled to open up the 2021 season with a four-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks before immediately welcoming the San Francisco Giants for a three-game set.

The first two series of 2021 are actually just a repeat of the first seven games the Padres have on their schedule this season, expect the games against the Giants will be at San Francisco this season before switching to Petco Park next year.
The National League West will also play the American League West for the second year in a row. Here are the Padres’ interleague dates:
- April 9-11 at Rangers
- May 21-23 vs. Mariners
- May 28-30 and September 3-5 at Astros
- July 27-28 and August 304 vs. A’s
- August 27-28 and September 7-8 at Angels
The 2021 MLB All-Star Game is Tuesday, July 13 in Atlanta. The Padres have a home series against the Colorado Rockies just before the break, followed by a road series in Washington just after the break.
