Hello again, Padres fans! Since tonight is the final exhibition before the start of the season, I figured it’s time to get the game threads going again. Hopefully you’ll find this more conducive than just piggy-backing on another article. With that, let’s get into tonight’s game.
The Padres will travel up the I-5 to Anaheim to take on the L.A. Angels. As mentioned in the Round-up, Joey Lucchesi and Cal Quantrill, still duking it out for the final spot in the starting rotation, are slated to pitch, with Lucchesi getting the start. The Angels will send out 23-year old LHP Patrick Sandoval, who made all of 10 appearances (nine as a starter), last year for the Angels. Game info follows below:
Start Time: First pitch set for 1840 Pacific time
Location: Angel Stadium of Anaheim.
Radio/TV: For the Padres, you can follow along on local radio via KWFN 97.3. For those watching on TV, tune in to Fox Sports - San Diego, or via MLB.com.
Weather Forecast: Expect sunny skies and temps around 72*F . Winds out of the South-Southwest @ 7 mph.
And here’s tonight’s starting lineup:
- SS Tatis Jr.

It’s the team’s last chance to get some work in before it counts for real. Here’s hoping they show out.
