In just four short days, the New York Yankees and the reigning World Series Champion Washington Nationals face off on Opening Day, followed by the rest of the league on July 24. The Padres open with a four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, who finished second in the division last year with a 85-77 record.
The Padres have yet to name their starting pitcher as of now but the whoever it is will face off against the D-Backs’ Madison Bumgarner. Bumgarner headed east to Arizona from the San Francisco Giants this offseason after finishing 2019 with a 9-9 record, 203 Ks, and an ERA of 3.90.
Saturday’s game will start around 6:10pm PT at Petco Park. The game will also be broadcasted locally on Fox Sports San Diego or listen in on KWFN 97.3 and XEMO 860.
