With the 109th pick in the 2020 MLB Draft, the San Diego Padres selected Levi Thomas, a pitcher out of Troy University (AL). Thomas was MLB.com’s 109th-ranked prospect.
Before attending Troy, 5’11, 187-pound prospect starred for four years at Cullman High School in Cullman, Alabama where he led hi team to a state championship in 2015 and three other state- runner-up finishes.

As a freshman at Troy, Thomas posted a 2-0 record and a save in 15 appearances with seven starts. He earned a 1.96 ERA in 41.1 innings pitched with 56 strikeouts while recording 23 hits and scoring 10 runs.
As a sophomore, he posted a 8-2 record in 15 appearances with a 4.24 ERA while retiring 87 batters in 80.2 innings pitched. He also knocked home 39 runs in 79 hits.
