Game Thread: 08 MAR Padres vs. White Sox

That’s... not how it’s supposed to go.

Man, that was terrible. The Padre faced off against the Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday in Scottsdale, and got beaten like a drum, 10-5. The Snakes jumped all over presumptive 5th starter, Joey Lucchesi, scoring 4 runs in their first set of ABs. Though the Padre would tie it up after scoring 2 runs a piece in the 4th and 5th, highlighted by HRs from Ty France and Franchy Cordero, the D-backs would immediately respond in their half of the 5th, scoring 4 more runs. All in all, not an ideal game, but fans can take solace that this was a day game following a night game, with many regulars held out.

Today’s Game:

The Padres will host the Chicago White Sox, in what may offer a preview of the Opening day pitching staff. RHP Chris Paddack will get the start, with Kirby Yates, Emilio Pagan, Pierce Johnson, and Javy Guerra slated to follow. Game info follows:

Start Time: 1310 Pacific time.

Location: Peoria Stadium in Peoria, AZ.

Radio/TV: Padres TV on Fox Sports - San Diego; radio broadcast on 97.3 KWFN.

Weather Forecast: Mostly sunny, with temps near 68 degrees Fahrenheit at gametime. Winds out of the SW @ 8 MPH.

I’ll be hanging with my family, so once again, if some one could please post the starting lineup down in the comments, I’d appreciate it. Hope you changed your clocks!

Go Padres!
