The Padres have officially announced that they’ve sent INF Esteban Quiroz to Tampa Bay in order to complete the trade for OF Tommy Pham. Back in early December, the Padres agreed to send outfielder Hunter Renfroe, minor league infielder Xavier Edwards, and a player to named later (Quiroz) to the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for outfielder Tommy Pham and infielder/right-handed pitcher Jake Cronenworth.

This past season, Quiroz spent 96 games with the El Paso Chihuahuas where he hit .271 with 19 home runs and 66 RBIs. After surfing through the tweet thread, it looks like there were a good number of people who are bummed to see Quiroz go. He never played a single game in the major leagues but it seems like many thought he was still a promising prospect.
What do you guys make of the move? Any of you feel the same way?
