The Padres finally released their 28-man roster this morning and things are finally heading down the stretch to the team’s first game of the National League Divisional Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The changes to the active roster include three player swaps, with OF Greg Allen, SP Mike Clevinger, and LHP prospect Ryan Weathers replacing RHP Dan Altavilla, IF Greg Garcia, and IF Jorge Mateo.
On top of the above changes, the Friars also made the announcement that Clevinger will be the team’s opening-game starter this evening. It will be the first time Clevinger attempts to pitch more than one inning since early September.
