On August 3, 2019 the Padres took the loss against the Dodgers in the third of a four-game series. The Padres have one more chance tomorrow to split the series with LA.

Starting on the mound today was Cal Quantrill. Pitching a flawless first three innings, he couldn’t make it last. The Dodgers scored four runs off him in the 4th and 5th innings. Michel Baez came in for two innings and kept the dodgers off the board. Matt Strahm finished the game in the 9th innings, not giving up a hit or a run.

The Padres bats were quiet tonight only getting 5 hits and one run. The one run came from Manuel Margot who hit a home run in the top of the 8th. Giving the fans a glimmer of hope, the game ended quickly after that with a final score of 4-1, Dodgers.
