WHY: Adrian Morejon is scheduled to make the second start (and third appearance) of his Major League career today. Throughout his 3 ¹⁄₃ Major League innings, Morejon has struck out two, walked none, and has yet to allow a home run. Opposite the rookie will be veteran left handed starter Madison Bumgarner in what could potentially be the long-time Giant’s last start for San Francisco with the trade deadline looming.

Yesterday, the Padres offense broke out of their slump for one day at least, and today they will need to keep that momentum going if they want to beat their divisional rivals.
