WHO: San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants

WHAT: Pivotal game in hunt for Wild Card

WHEN: Saturday, July 27, 2019, at 5:40 p.m.

WHERE: PetCo Park, San Diego, CA

HOW: Watch on FOX Sports San Diego (or FOX Sports Go), listen on 97.3FM The Fan. Spanish broadcasts on FOX Deportes San Diego and XEMO 860AM.

WHY: After yesterday’s soul-crushing loss in a pitchers’ duel, the Padres will hope that Cal Quantrill and co. can replicate the results that Joey Lucchesi and the bullpen put up while simultaneously striving to do better than a lone Austin Hedges solo home run offensively. Quantrill, notably, worked out of the bullpen in his last outing, but he was the long man in that game and he was nearly lights out. Tonight, he will get to slide back into the starting rotation.

While Hedges was clearly the “star” of yesterday’s game, Hunter Renfroe was also a positive contributor reaching base twice. Everyone else might as well have left their bats in the dugout, however, so they will need to bounce back today.
