On June 18, the Padres took the loss in the last game of the Pirates series. This was another one of those games that sends your emotions for a ride. In the 11th inning, the Padres scored 3 runs, putting them in the lead, but the Pirates came back with four more runs of their own, winning them game.
Joey Lucchesi started at the mound and pitched 5 innings. Lucchesi pitched 86 total pitches with 56 strikes, giving up 4 runs and 6 hits. As for the Padres bullpen, Cal Quantrill and Luis Perdomo came in and pitched scoreless innings.
