WHO: San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies

WHAT: Padres look to build on yesterday’s massive comeback.

WHY: Yesterday, Hunter Renfroe led the way offensively with is 19th, 20th, and 21st home runs of the season en route to driving in 5 of the Padres’ 16 runs. In doing so, he remains the team’s leader in WAR (just ahead of rookie phenom Fernando Tatis Jr.). The lineup as a whole obviously had one of their best games of the year and it helped to even out what had been a truly awful week at the plate (they now have a 99 wRC+ over the last 7 days).

Today, the Friars look to take the lead in the series behind Eric Lauer who has a career 21.00 ERA starting at Coors Field. Hopefully, the offense can keep the runs coming and Lauer can find a way to chip away at that hideous ERA.
