All-Star voting update: Bellinger and Yelich only players with 1M+ votes. Action required!

No Padre in the Top 5 yet

MLB: Washington Nationals at San Diego Padres Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

The first voting update is here and there’s not much to cheer about for Padre fans. Here are some notable early results for our position players.

Manny Machado- #6 118,244

Eric Hosmer- #8 85,256

Fernando Tatis Jr.- #7 108,680

Ian Kinsler- cannot compute

Unfortunately, no Padre Outfielder is in the top 20 for their respective position.

It’s worth noting that the leagues most overrated and overhyped player Bryce Harper barely cracks the top 10 amongst outfielders. He’s about 800,000 votes behind Bellinger and Yelich.

Time to get out and vote now Padre fans!!

Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Cody Bellinger - who’s putting together a potentially historic season - is far and away the leading vote-getter. Bellinger’s 1,189,380 votes are tops among all players in both leagues, and he’s more than 230,000 votes ahead of American League leader Mike Trout. Bellinger and reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich (1,057,855) are the only players in either league who’ve received at least 1,000,000 votes thus far.”
