WHY: The rookie left hander has walked 8 across his last two starts, but Nick Margevicius has still managed to go at least 5 innings in both contests. Against the Dodgers, he will need to regain his control if he has any designs on a W because they are unlikely to let him get away with handing out free passes.
Offensively, the Padres have been carried in this series by former Dodger Manny Machado who knocked one out of the park in game 1 and did the same to two more in game 2. If the pattern holds, maybe San Diego can save a little face this weekend and actually notch a single victory.
