WHO: San Diego Padres vs. Toronto Blue Jays
WHAT: It’s Paddack Day! Break out the brooms!
WHEN: Sunday, May 26, 2019, at 10:07 a.m.
WHERE: Rogers Centre
HOW: Watch on FOX Sports San Diego (or FOX Sports Go), listen on 97.3FM The Fan. Spanish broadcasts on FOX Deportes San Diego and XEMO 860AM.
WHY: Yesterday, the Padres set a franchise-record with 7 home runs (two each from Wil Myers and Hunter Renfroe). Their 19-run rampage accounts for 8.9% of their total runs scored on the season. As a team, the Friars slashed .444/.537/.956. It is rather unlikely the offense will be able to repeat such a performance today, but they won’t need to because their ace is pitching. Chris Paddack, he of the 1.93 ERA, will be looking to get his fifth career win while the Friars try to extend their winning streak to 6.
Chris Paddack is a late scratch and in his place will be long reliever/spot starter Robbie Erlin. Marcus Stroman will take the mound for the Blue Jays and will try to steal the final game of the series.
