Gaslamp locks of the day

Gaslamp Ball provides baseball picks with odds daily

AP

May 14th Baseball locks

What: Cubs at Reds 6:40 P.M Eastern

Who: Cubs -113 Moneyline and U 9.5 (-120)

Why: This game should be a pitchers duel all the way, regardless of the fact that it’s in Cincinnati. Since getting roughed up for 7 ER on April 26th in Arizona, Hendricks has been lights out. Roark has been consistent as well, but the edge goes to the Cubs. Take the under in this game.

Prediction: 4-3 Cubs

What: Mets at Nationals 7:05 P.M Eastern

Who: O 8 (-115)

Why: Syndergaard and Hellickson have both been plagued by inconsistency this season. Hellickson has struggled to go deep into games, while Syndergaard has given up 4 ER or more in 6 of 8 starts.

Prediction: Mets 7-5

What: Pirates at D-Backs 9:40 P.M Eastern

Who: D-Backs -164 Moneyline and -1.5 Runline (+115)

Why: In 2 May starts, Weaver has pitched 14 innings and given up just 6 hits and 2 ER’s. He’s starting to heat up, so look for him to go deep in this one. Musgrove has been shelled in both of his previous 2 outings. In fact, he hasn’t pitched past the 3rd inning in either start.

Prediction: D-Backs 7-2

HOMER ALERT!!

What: Padres at Dodgers 10:10 P.M Eastern

Who: Padres +137 Moneyline

Why: During his last start, Paddack pitched into the 8th inning for the first time in his young career. His attitude matches his ability. In his last 3 starts, he’s pitched 20.2 innings and given up just 9 hits and 2 ER. Obviously Kershaw is no slouch, but big game Chris will come through in a statement game of sorts.

Prediction: Padres 4-3
