New, 50 comments

The Padres look to bounce back after dropping a series to the D’Backs.

MLB: San Francisco Giants at San Diego Padres Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

WHO: San Diego Padres vs. St. Louis Cardinals

WHAT: The Padres kick off their first road trip of the season with a three-game series in St. Louis

WHEN: Friday, April 5th, at 1:15 p.m. PT

WHERE: Busch Stadium

HOW: Watch on FOX Sports San Diego (or FOX Sports Go), listen on 97.3FM The Fan. Spanish broadcasts on FOX Deportes San Diego and XEMO 860AM.

WHY: The Padres’ first homestand of the season was mostly a success after they rescued the Diamondbacks series with a win on Wednesday to get out of San Diego with a winning record.

They will now face the St. Louis Cardinals, who sit at .500, in their home opener which was postponed yesterday due to weather. The conditions are still on the wet side, but it should not prevent baseball from being played.

Rookie pitcher Nick Margevicius will toe the rubber for the Friars as he looks to get his first win in the Majors. On the other side, the red birds will offer up Jack Flaherty whose first start of the season is one he would probably prefer to forget.
