WHO: San Diego Padres vs. Atlanta Braves
WHAT: Padres turn to Chris Paddack to end two-game skid.
WHEN: Tuesday, April 30, 2019, at 4:20 p.m.
WHERE: SunTrust Park
HOW: Watch on FOX Sports San Diego (or FOX Sports Go), listen on 97.3FM The Fan. Spanish broadcasts on FOX Deportes San Diego and XEMO 860AM.
WHY: Chris Paddack has been something of a revelation for the Padres so far this season and his last start exceeded everything he had done previously. He allowed only one hit across seven innings of work giving us his longest start of the year. Given the offense’s lack of consistent success (or rather it’s consistent lack of success) it is fortunate that Paddack’s turn in the rotation is back up again.
Julio Teheran will be starting for the Braves. Teheran’s 5.40 ERA is not great, but his xFIP of 4.56 is more respectable (though still nothing to write home about). Hopefully, the offense can get something going against him tonight.
