WHO: San Diego Padres vs. Washington Nationals
WHAT: Padres can claim another series with a win today.
WHEN: Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 1:05 p.m.
WHERE: Nationals Park
HOW: Watch on FOX Sports San Diego (or FOX Sports Go), listen on 97.3FM The Fan. Spanish broadcasts on FOX Deportes San Diego and XEMO 860AM.
WHY: Former San Diego State standout Stephen Strasburg takes the hill today to try to end the San Diego Padres win streak at four. The Padres opening day starter, Eric Lauer, is looking to get back into the win column after back-to-back losses in his previous two starts. Strasburg dominated the Miami Marlins in his last outing, so we’ll be hoping for a reversal of trends this afternoon.
As a team, the Padres have been a mediocre hitting club, but over the last week they’ve been one of the worst in baseball. However, the Padres did get some late-inning magic from Hunter Renfroe yesterday on a night that rookie phenom Fernando Tatis Jr.’s hitting streak finally came to an end.
