What should the Padres do with 2B?

After the demotion of Luis Urias, the Padres could be at a crossroads for the future of 2B.

For the last couple of years, it has been assumed that Fernando Tatis Jr. would be joined by Luis Urias in the middle of the San Diego Padres infield for the foreseeable future.

When Urias was called up a few weeks ago, it looked like that era was starting sooner rather than later. When Urias was sent back down to the minors this week, after looking completely lost at the plate, some worried that he might be the type of player that can succeed in the minors but never make an impact at the major-league level.

In this week’s MTPGA, Craig Elsten and I discuss Luis Urias, Ian Kinsler, Ty France, and every other option the Padres have at 2B for this year and beyond.

We also address the Gaslamp Ball post about firing Andy Green, why there is hope that the offense will get better, and the deal with Dallas Keuchel (does he fit in SD? why hasn’t he been signed yet?).
