WHO: San Diego Padres vs. Cincinnati Reds
WHAT: Padres try to snap a four-game losing streak
WHEN: Friday, April 19th, at 7:10 p.m. PT
WHERE: Petco Park
HOW: Watch on FOX Sports San Diego (or FOX Sports Go), listen on 97.3FM The Fan. Spanish broadcasts on FOX Deportes San Diego and XEMO 860AM.
WHY: With one-time relief pitcher Matt Strahm set to take the mound, the Friars have not won since his last start which was his best of the season. Strahm threw 5 scoreless innings and struck out four while walking none.
Over the last three games, the Padres have scored only five runs and on the season they are averaging only 3.45 runs per game on the season. In spite of the additions Manny Machado and Fernando Tatis Jr, the offense simply has not been able to get things going on a consistent basis. If they’re to get out of their current slump, the offense really needs to put more runs on the board.
